My school just made a facebook group for the student council. On this group the students will be able to look at events, pictures , post comments and help plan future events. This is a great way to keep the students informed and the parents on what exciting things are going on at the school. But, the negative to these sites is cyber bullying. A few months ago two girls posted in their status on facebook about whose family is fatter than the others. This news got to the parents and this errupted into a parent student fight at parent teacher conferences. The student need to know how to be act in society and on these sites. This will lead another assignment for a teacher who has to monitor this fb group.
